What is the GeM OEM Panel?

In many product categories, IT hardware, medical devices, vehicles, industrial equipment, buyers strongly prefer or require procurement directly from the manufacturer or its authorised channel. The GeM OEM Panel provides:

• Direct OEM registration: Manufacturers of branded products register as OEMs on GeM with brand ownership documentation (trademark certificates, manufacturer declarations)
• Brand verification: GeM verifies OEM status to prevent counterfeit or unauthorised sellers claiming OEM status
• Direct sales listing: Registered OEMs can list products on GeM with full manufacturer warranty assurance and direct service support

For categories where OEM panel listing is mandatory (certain medical devices, critical IT security products, some vehicle types), buyers can only procure from OEM-registered sellers or their authorised resellers. Non-OEM sellers cannot list in these categories.
